The flat e-nail coil is the most efficient way to heat your hybrid dab nail (or any nail with a dish on top such as the SiC Ti hybrid nail), since most of the heat rises directly toward the dish’s heating surface. Barrel coils are great for a more indirect heat – for extremely low temp “chronnoisseurs” – and compatibility with other domeless (non-bucket/banger style) nails but the flat e-nail heat coil is the most efficient at delivering heat directly to the dish’s bottom surface, where it’s most efficiently used.
RCCtools has been designing and assembling top-shelf heady electric dab nail tools out of Portland, Oregon since early 2015, when cannabis was first legalized for recreational use. All products on this site are intended for legal use only, by adults of legal age for intended usage. E-nail products are not intended for anyone under the age of 18 to use– for fire hazard concerns.
Flat Coil Vs. Barrel Style Coil:
A barrel style e-nail heat coil is great for nails that are designed to hold the heat coil around the outer walls of the nail. Even with bangers some prefer that the heat is more indirect than with the specialized banger coil– for extremely low temp “chronnoisseurs”. Also the barrel style coil shares compatibility with many base-price “domeless” nails. By comparison, the flat coils are the most efficient at delivering heat directly to the bottom surface of a quartz or SiC dish, where it is directly transferred to the concentrate. On the other hand, a barrel style coil will heat the side-walls slightly more than the bottom– which can produce a lighter dab that will most often leave a larger pool. This could be considered wasteful but there is the advantage of being able to q-tip the banger almost completely clean before the dab has a change to dry and become a crust– chazzing up the nail. I am somewhere in between because I resent waste but push it to the limits of what can be cleaned with minimal effort.
